1) Eating every meal with your children.
2) Offensive parenting as opposed to defensive parenting. Basically, not having to reteach your children what is truth everyday when they return home from prison school with stories that make you shudder.
3) Traveling during the week. Even better is during the week when public school is in session.
4) Sleeping in.
5) Not missing a single moment of success with your children. Sure that means not missing any of the bad but that’s part of parenting too!
Last week our family traveled to Highland Village to camp out in my mom’s driveway. Fun, huh? Actually, staying in our camper is a huge stress relief and allows us to stay there longer.
It is such a blessing to have a husband willing to take me to my mom’s for a whole week! He sets up the laptop in the camper and works during the morning hours then we go have fun in the afternoons.
While we were there Haley maintained her schooling. One day she copied the James Avery leaflet explaining the Ichthus. She memorized scripture, read The Little Princess, narrated it back and played- a lot
Like any good mom I took a million pictures. Here are my favorites.

So when ya coming back?
I would love to say that you are an “AWESOME” photographer….so I will! You are an AWESOME photographer. Made only more awesome with the amazingly beautiful subjects you photograph. And the sweet camera helps too.
You might glamorize my driveway a bit more if you say: “tree lined” and “bed & breakfast meals”
and “soothing sounds of wildlife” (wink) oh and let’s not forget the “amenities” “outhouse that’s really is inside” and the wonderful “hot shower” with “big fluffy towels” and the “late night giggle fest”….sorry, I really meant “deep conversations”
((hugs))
Mom
They are beautiful children – you are very blessed with such a lovely family!
Oh how fun. And the pictures are amazing! I’m glad you got a break and enjoyed the “tree lined bed and breakfast”. LOL! Lisa~
